For the second year running, Corseaux residents are invited to (re)discover the Villa “Le Lac” Le Corbusier during a free open house. The highlight of the day will be a celebration of the 120th birthday of Graham Greene, who lived his last years in Corseaux.

Guests of honor: the Municipality of Berkhamsted, the Hertfordshire town where Graham Greene was born. To mark this anniversary, Call me Edouard Publishers and Graham Greene's grandsons are publishing a new wine label featuring a drawing by Paul Hogarth, famous illustrator of the writer's last paperbacks (see below). Association Corsalum  will be pleased to offer all participants the bilingual book Graham Greene The Swiss Chapter / À l'ombre de la Suisse published by Call me Edouard Publishers

In partnership with the Commune de Corseaux, the Corsalum Association, the Call me Edouard publishing house and the Cave de Corseaux.

This will be an opportunity to evoke another famous guest, the actor James Mason, who lived in Corseaux for 25 years, and to offer a screening of the film Dr Fischer of Geneva at dusk. Based on the novel Dr Fischer of Geneva by Graham Greene, with James Mason, Greta Scacchi and Alan Bates.

In the honor of Graham Greene, an area of the village has been dedicated to him at the top of the vineyard path, with its splendid view over Lake Geneva. The space invites visitors to (re)immerse themselves in “A Gun for Sale”, “The Third Man”, “The Quiet American” or “Travels with my Aunt”.

The organisators are looking forward to this major event that will lead hopefully to a twinning of Berkhamsted and Corseaux.
